Harlem Art Walking Tour (HAWT™), Saturday and Sunday, October 17th and 18th

Our guests spoke – we listened! The 2015 Harlem Art Walking Tour (HAWT™) will have a more compact and convenient route, making it easier for guests to spend a little less time walking with more time to visit venues. HAWT™ 2015 will be hosted by over forty venues featuring 5 young emerging artists as well as over 100 established artists, and will include environmental workshops on bee-keeping, gardening and city tree stewardship. Concurrent with the HAWT™ weekend, Casa Frela Gallery will be featured as the premier Harlem stop on the prestigious OHNY (Open House New York) weekend tour and as such, will be offering an architectural and historical lecture on the House of Frela. As guests wind their way to and from the participating venues, they will get an up-close view of the grand architecture of some of Harlem’s most historic brownstones. HAWT™ 2014 was well-supported by local businesses. The event attracted residents of Harlem and well beyond as well as elected officials Charles Rangel and Gayle Brewer.

We invite you to take a piece of Harlem home with you

Rekindle your "inner artist" at the HAWT™ weekend, as you mingle with artists and artisans who are happy to meet you and speak about their art and process. Range of arts include oils, watercolors, acryllics, collages, sculptures, jewelry and fabric arts. Art that personifies that special person, as well as artworks that speak to your soul. The Harlem Arts Community is so vast and varied, there is truly something for everyone. Simultaneously, you'll be supporting gifted artists in doing what they love most - creating.

Free Gifts with Purchase – Come to Browse or to Buy

Our yearly returning guests will tell you they mark the HAWT™ weekend on their calendars each year as an event to remember. If you haven't yet experienced HAWT™, make this your first of many years to come! Many artists are offering a ‘giveaway with purchase’ or raffle, as well as other attractive offers. The first 1000 visitors will get a free HAWT@ gift bag. There will be culinary samples along the route as well.
